Encyclopaedia Britannica give bloggers free access to their stuff, and then they let them link to a page, and the people that follow that link can read the article (I guess they check the HTTP referrer). I’d completely forgotten about it till I came across a link to them from Google when I was searching for what a sequencial file organisation was.

Anyway, using the Wikipedia search I couldn’t actually find what I was looking for, so I guess in this case EB wins…

Here’s a test link to the section I was looking for.

I can’t believe it was only 0130 before I had a brain melt and couldn’t do any more coursework. I’m gonna have to get up tomorrow, head to college, skip tutorial and do coursework. All. Fracking. Day. I’m not kidding. On pain of death Shamess, you will do it.

To be fair, I don’t have much to do for business. I need add a feature to my computing stuff though… That may take an hour or two.

Just think about it; after tomorrow, you’ll have nothing to worry about but exams.

I’m done with coursework for now. I’ve been doing it for ages. Three hours constitutes as ages, methinks. So, I’ve taking a little break. I’ll start again at ten. I really need to finish both pieces tonight, since it’s weeks after the deadline and the marks have to be sent off Tuesday. I have to hand in both pieces of coursework… tomorrow, really.

Anyway, lets forget about that for a little while, it’s giving me a headache.

There’s a WordPress plugin competition! I was thinking the other day that I really wanted WordPress to do something for me, and I couldn’t find a plugin for it that works well. So, I might as well write it myself and potentially win a prize! The caveat to that though, is that I can’t tell people what my idea is, else they’ll steal it so I’m not even sure if it’s a good idea. Meh, I need it, so if nothing comes of it, at least I’ve gotten what I want. In the process, I’ll be learning new stuff about WordPress so it’s a win-win even if I lose.

The competition opens after my exams, so I won’t be having to mix it with reivision. I might have to mix it with finding a job though… If I win, it’d look awesome on my CV though!

Finding a job is another stress point (though, not too much), so I’m not going to talk about that either just yet.

Question 7 is disgusting. In fact, take a few moments to read through the question paper and point out a lot of the errors. But it’s the badly form HTML that bothers me most. Why does the exam board want to teach us incorrect information?

I expect that that web page in newer browsers would just break, or it’d be outraged and refuse to show the page. The other HTML questions are awful too. I only got a few marks in one question because I used <p style=”text-align:center;”>, rather than <center>. The thing is, depending on how well the person marking my exam knew HTML, I would have gotten full marks for that bit.

Okay, I guess I was intentionally using CSS because I knew they were looking for <center>, but still, my point’s still valid. AQA shouldn’t be teaching us invalid code.

As a token of how unorganised I am, I wanted to make a post saying what exams I’m taking.

May

In May, I should be (at least, I think I am) retaking computing, unit 2 (CPT2) and law, unit 2 (LAW2). Both of these are AS resits because I failed them last year, which is always fun.

June

A2 exams I’m taking in June are law, unit 6 (LAW6) and unit 4 (LAW4), computing, units 4 (CPT4) and 5 (CPT5), and business studies, unit 11 (BUS11).

I’m resitting law, unit 5 (LAW5).

Jolly good, only seven eight exams. Plus three sets of coursework. Before July. Joy.
